It is because of the failure of our Judicial System to protect us
from dangerous predators, who are allowed to go free and walk
amongst our children, that the words contained in this writing,
are happening throughout our countries every single day.

Unless we as citizens demand changes concerning the release
of sex offenders, and violent evil persons, then we will continue
to watch, as our children's life's are shattered and cut short,
because of the leniency handed down in sentencing
from our courts.

concerns to congress, and also be able to e-mail issues

Who Walks Amongst Your Children?

A child lay sobbing alone on her bed,
Naked and trembling with fear,
A man who was known as a family friend,
Had just crippled her heart with tears.

While the noise of the neighbourhood party,
Had smothered the sounds of his prey,
A torn and defenseless angel,
Became a victim of his evil way.

The Mother and Father were hysterical,
Upon learning of their daughters fate,
Reporting their nightmare to authorities,
But for their daughter it was now too late.

An investigation and search soon followed,
For the man who had once gained their trust,
Charges were laid for molesting a child,
And a court date was set amongst hush.

The hearts of the courtroom stopped beating,
As the evidence became known to their ears,
This man held a criminal record,
Dating back for the past several years!

Amongst the convictions for which he served time,
Included exposing himself in a children's park,
And another for prowling neighbourhoods,
While peering through windows in the dark!

His defense had been he was abused as a child,
And had given in to drug addiction and booze,
The judge who sat and listened that day,
Became blind and was easily fooled.

After serving less than a year behind bars,
He was released and put on probation,
The system said yes you may walk free again,
But we won't be responsible for any violation!

Without the protection from the courts in our land,
Our children will always be at risk,
So as parents we must act and do all we can,
To save our loved ones from a perpetrators list!
