Tommy And Sarah

Kids can be so cute and cuddly,
With their laughter and their smile,
You just wanna' squeeze and hug them,
And hold them for awhile.

Other times you may sit and ponder,
What on earth you've done,
When you see the things before you,
Being broken just for fun.

Little Tommy's only five years old,
And sister Sarah's only four,
Sometimes you'll kneel and pray,
Please God... don't send me more.

Knick knacks you'd like to keep,
You have to set up high,
'Cause Tommy likes to play with them,
If he can't.... he'll start to cry.

Although you try to comfort him,
And hand Tommy his shiny truck,
He doesn't want to play with that,
He thinks his toys all suck!

You finally get him settled down,
With a toy that he likes best,
To dance around and laugh with glee,
While wearing Sarah's dress!

Sarah's just awakening from a nap,
She's crying for her Mom,
But when she seen her dress on Tom,
She laughed and thinks it's fun.

Just when you think that all is well,
And you might sit down for a rest,
Sarah wants her favourite doll,
The one that Tommy likes best.

Tommy holds on tight and won't let go,
Sarah pulls with all her might,
The legs come off and fly through the air,
It's now a full scale fight!

But guess who walks in through the door,
Here comes Dad he'll stop this war!
He takes little Tommy by the hand,
And tries to make him understand.

You cannot play with dolls my son,
And certainly don't wear dresses!
If you continue to behave like that,
You'll be in plenty messes!

Tommy and Sarah Two

Tommy now has turned eighteen,
And Sarah's one year younger,
Their hormones seem far outta' sight,
They appear to crave a hunger.

It worries me to say the least,
At what lies in the future,
Will Sarah's tummy all swell up,
Or should we have it sutured?!

We've just now met her boyfriend Carl,
I couldn't believe my eyes,
Rings on eyebrows and ring in nose,
Blue hair that looks all dyed!

Sarah say's that he's real hip,
The most popular guy in school,
But husband John and I both think,
Who's she trying to fool?!

Dealing with Tommy hasn't been easy,
He's been dating a woman much older,
She come's in here and flirts with hubby,
And swears just like a soldier!

She say's that she's in love with Tom,
And keeps on growing fonder,
She's kinda' upset that her divorce,
Will take a wee bit longer!

Her name is Fran and that's okay,
We've barely only met,
My husband nearly hit the floor,
When she said, "No Period Yet"!

So Tom and Sarah continue on,
Just like when they were small,
The only difference now it seems,
Was it really worth it all?!
