Three Wishes

I dreamt there was a fairy,
Near my pillow late last night,
She granted me three wishes,
As I held her very tight.

I told her that they weren't for me,
But for someone who I loved,
She smiled and slowly fluttered her wings,
And promised all three from above.

You see dear fairy..I love this girl,
Who is feeling so much pain,
And I'm wishing that she recovers,
So she'll feel whole again.

My second wish is for our love,
Please don't let it die,
We two were brought together,
When God did hear our cry.

My third and final wish will be,
To spend our lives together,
So we can face what comes along,
And conquer stormy weather.

Just when I thought she would disappear,
And there was nothing I could do,
She smiled and took me by the hand,
And said now it's time for you.

I will grant you all three more,
Because you were so kind,
"One will do if you promise me",
"To spread peace for all mankind".
