No One There
I reached out to hold her hand,
In the middle of the night,
She lay so soft beside me,
Oh...what a beautiful sight.
Her breath blew warm across my chest,
While she snuggled close to me,
A veil of goodness I can't describe,
But one I could plainly see.
She whispered softly in my ear,
How deep her love for me,
That none would come between us,
And we would always be.
The room began to radiate,
With the sound of loves sweet bliss,
Her soft sweet lips touching mine,
Longing to be kissed.
I could sense the desire for passion,
Swelling from deep inside,
We held each other oh so tight,
Sharing our love throughout the night
.
My being was filled with contentment and joy,
Of which I had never known,
Emotion had overwhelmed me,
I knew my heart was home.
Then awakened by a sound of silence,
Of which I was unaware,
Then suddenly I realized......
There had been no one there.
