Memories Of A Harvest Moon

Weep no more my sweet darling,
Wipe the tears that are in your eyes,
The day will come when we'll dance once more,
Hand in hand across Heavens blue skies.

Once again we will do all the things we once did,
When we were young and so full of life,
Sharing in all of the wonderful memories,
When I was honoured to call you my wife.

Do you recall all the nights that we spent holding hands,
How we laughed and made funny faces,
And stood gazing at the harvest moon up above,
Silence broken by our hearts that were racing.

Remember the summer time strolls through the woods,
When I would tease you and make sounds like a bear,
You would pretend you were frightened and fall into my arms,
And I would save you with not a moment to spare.

Then I'd laugh and explain how I just saved your life,
You'd smile back and say I was your hero,
Our love for each other was high on the scale,
And our bad times always measured a zero!

My most cherished of all moments were spent lying close,
When you would fall fast asleep in my arms,
What a wonderful feeling knowing you felt safe,
And you trusted me to keep you from harm.

Oh yes my sweet darling please weep no more,
Wipe those tears that are in your eyes,
The day will come when we'll dance once again,
Hand in hand across Heavens blue skies.
