In a world that is gripped with suffering and pain, World leaders unwilling to offer refrain, Women and children who die in the streets, While onlookers watch as they shuffle their feet. So sad for those who are living alone, Always returning to a sad empty home, With no one to talk to or share their concerns, No one to hold as the world slowly burns. For them who take comfort with those whom they love, Should bow down on their knees and thank God up above, Hold love firmly deep in your heart, Do not let hatred drive us apart. For we are all held in the palm of the Lord, Not knowing the hour He will bring down His sword, Time will not wait while we sit and ponder, What to do with our lives so we will not wander.
