How Far Is Heaven

May I ask how far to Heaven dear Lord
Will my arrival take place in one day?
My child it's only but a breath away
Where the sunshine casts its golden ray.

Will that help me to see through the darkness
Or will you reach out and take hold of my hand?
When I call, there will be no such darkness
For my glory shall illuminate the land.

Then what shall become of my final remains
That lay buried beneath the ground?
Your spirit and soul will be lifted to Heaven
Where your loved ones shall all gather round.

Forgive me Lord, but how will they see me
If I present only of spirit and soul
For eternity they shall see you in beauty
Amongst my Angels on Heavens row.

Please don't mind me asking this question
But why is it my thoughts tend to wander?
I have created in you an inquisitive mind
Many things I knew you would ponder.

Will I truly see all of my loved ones and friends
The precise moment I arrive at Heaven's gate?
My child, it saddens me greatly to say
But for many, they have chosen to forsake.

But Father, is it not you whom they place their trust
Have they not prayed for forgiveness of sins?
They have chosen instead to ignore me
While I remain patient, for their repentance to begin.

Shouldn't I go now and warn all the people
Lest they be swept away in a dark fiery sea?
Many signs I have given for believers to watch
The decision is theirs to return unto Me.

Dear Lord, why is it I see you so clearly
And feel tenderness from your warm loving arms?
My child it's because you are with me in Heaven
I whispered your name to save you from harm.
