To any husband, wife, child, or friend who belittles the importance and intelligence of another, please stop and think of the damage you are inflicting on your loved one.

Most outer wounds heal very nicely, but that is not true in the mending of one's heart and soul.

The scars that blanket a heart and soul may never heal.

Be more kind and gentle toward one another, offering words not of criticism, but those of Love.

A Home To Be Destroyed In

Have you been called stupid so many times,
That you are beginning to lose self-esteem,
Does it hurt and make you feel worthless inside,
From names called from someone whose mean.

When you were a child did you hear the words,
That you just couldn't do anything right,
Did you lower your head and feel dumb inside,
Felt like staying out of everyone's sight.

When you went to school and sat at your desk,
But did not put your hand up for long,
Afraid that your classmates and teacher,
Would all laugh if your answer was wrong.

Have you tried to live life as others would wish,
Trying to please and make everything right,
Hoping to hear those words of approval,
But still deemed incompetent in their sight.

The saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones,
"But names will never hurt me",
Could not be further from the truth,
I'm sure most will agree.

When someone attacks you in a verbal sense,
And you hear nothing but harmful words,
Self esteem and self confidence soon will die,
From the attack of someone so absurd!

Please do not ever lower your head,
And feel unworthy of someone's respect,
The persons directing trash words toward you,
Should look at themselves and redirect!

Of all the problems a relationship might bring,
Are those of uncaring words that ruin,
No one should be poisoned or torn by another,
Or the life of your heart will die soon.
